BONFIRE NIGHT

The fifth of November is an important festival  in Britain. On this day people remember the year 1605.

Guy Fawkes and his men  wanted to blow up the house of parliament with the king and his minister inside.
They put 36 bearels of gunpowder in the cellar of the building.But the king was informed about the plotand sent his soldiers to the cellar.
The soldiers found Guy Fawkes in the cellar; they took him to prison and executed him .So the king was safe and he ordered that people lighted bonfire and firekork.
CELEBRATION:
Evry year , on November fifth , in England people commemorate Guy Fawkes . Children make puppets with old clothes and ask "a penny for the guy". The children use the money they collect to buy fireworks.
In the evening the puppets are burnt on bonfires,people look at fireworks and it jacket potatoes, sausages and toffee apples.
